Local Heritage Places funding applications open for 2022 to 2023
On display until 30 September 2022, 05:00 PM
Owners of properties that are heritage items, or are within heritage conservation areas can apply for grants to help with restoration. The Local Heritage Places Grant program for 2022 to 2023 aims to raise awareness of heritage conservation, with a funding contribution from the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage.
For 2022 to 2023 priority will be given to flood impacted towns and villages to assist landowners with the recovery process.
The focus of Local Heritage Places Grants is conservation works that enhance individual places, buildings and historic streetscapes. This includes buildings in conservation areas that will in turn promote and foster the community’s and visitor’s appreciation of the Shire.
There are grants available between $1000 and $3000, depending on the number of applications received. Successful applicants will need to match the funding amount provided by the grant.
Restoration work must be completed by 30 March 2023.
